Almuñecar returns €21,000 to locals

ALMUÑECAR Town Hall (Granada) will return €21,000 which was paid by local residents on property tax by mistake.

The Tax Councillor, Antonio Laborda, said that the 166 people would get their money back after they were accidentally charged twice because they went to pay in person when they already had the bills direct debited.

Some people had requested their money back, but in most cases, it has been done before they asked.

Everyone affected will be notified.
