Judge postpones Algarrobico Hotel demolition

A JUDGE has ordered that the provisional demolition order against the Algarrobico hotel be postponed.

The judge considers that demolishing the hotel built by Azata del Sol in Carboneras would entail “irreversible and irreparable damages” for the promoter, and rejects the request from Salvemos Mojacar and Ecologistas en Accion who sought for the local town hall to go ahead with the 20-storey hotel.

The Junta de Andalucia Councillor for Public Works and Housing, Josefina Cruz Villalon, has said that the Junta will obey the order, but will continue to work for the demolition to go ahead.
