Wine without alcohol, a secret kept in Almeria

AN Almeria winery has produced a wine without alcohol.

Bodega La Tautila plans to keep the secret of how it naturally takes the alcohol out of wine while maintaining its taste. The only, Manuel Salas, will only say that no additives or chemicals are added, making it unique in Spain.

The winery only opened in 2009 and launched 5,000 bottles of wine on the market, but now, its white, red and sparkling wines are sold in 42 countries with great success.

Salas says that even experts at a wine fair believed that the wine contained alcohol and couldn’t believe that it didn’t.

The grapes used in the wine come from Almeria, as well as Jumilla and La Mancha, and the process of removing the alcohol is currently carried out in Albacete, but in the future the businessman wants to move the whole process to Abrucena and complete the list of products with rosé and ‘tinto de verano’.
