Beware of bogus gas inspectors in the Nerja region

NERJA Town Hall Foreigners Department has once again told local residents to refuse ‘gas inspectors’ entrance to their homes.

Men claiming to represent several different gas companies have been knocking on doors demanding entrance to carry out a gas revision.

They will use any excuse to get into the house saying that it is compulsory and if you do not allow them to carry out the revision you will have problems.

They also charge extremely high prices if they convince you to let them in.

For information: The gas revision must be carried out every five year by the company that you choose and after you have phoned to make an appointment. In Nerja there are two gas companies with offices where you can contact them.
