FIVE men, four of them brothers, have been sentenced to five years each in prison for shooting at a man in Coin in 2008, because of a broken wing mirror.
The brothers had been arguing with the sons of a woman who allegedly broke the wing mirror on a car belonging to their sister several days earlier in Fuengirola. The woman had told relatives that she planned to hide from them in Coin.
The five men went to the town to get revenge, but got the wrong address and began shooting at a house where a couple and their daughter were preparing to go to bed. They were not injured, despite the men’s obvious intention of killing someone.
Two of the men have been sentenced to one year more for illegal weapons possession, and they will have to pay the victim of the shooting €3,000.
