POLICE arrested a 24-year-old man in Mostoles, Madrid, accused of raping a 19-year-old girl who he later contacted via a social networking site.
The attack took place in March this year when the woman was approached from behind and raped.
She provided the attacker with her details on a social networking site with the aim of contacting him and being able to identify him.
Just hours later, she received messages from an unknown person claiming to be a woman, which she found suspicious and reported to the police.
The National Police traced the communications via the IP address from which the suspect was sending the messages. He was identified by the victim and arrested.
