Ans van der Linder and Tina Watts exhibt their art at Mazarron Town Hall

THE Mazarron Mayor inaugurated two art exhibitions on Friday September 9 in the Casas Consistoriales at the Town Hall.

The exhibitions will run from Saturday September 10 until Friday October 7, Monday to Saturday from 1am to 2pm (except the last Saturday of September). Thursday and Friday the exhibit can also be seen from 5pm to 8pm.

The artists are Ans van der Linden with her exibition ‘Los Colores de la Luz’ – ‘The Colours of Light’ – on the second floor and Tina Watts with ‘Esta den el detalle’ – Its in the detail – on the basement. 

Ans is Dutch and has lived in Los Vivancos, Murcia, since 2003. She paints mainly in acrylic and it is interesting to see how she uses light and shade to achieve that what she means with “colouring of the light”.

Tina is British and studied at Yeovil College and the Somerset College of Arts and Technology. She has lived in Mazarron for 13 years. She works mainly in watercolours, but has recently started painting with acrylics. Her style is distinctive for its fine detail.
