THERE are still some spaces left to attend the ‘Consulate in the Community’ event which will take place on September 8 in the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen in Torrevieja.
This event is a unique chance to talk to staff from the Diputación (Provincial Government), local health care authorities, social services and local associations.
After a recent meeting with the British Consul, Paul Rodwell, the new Diputada of European Residents, Mercedes Alonso (pictured), has confirmed that she will be attending the event.

Before the event, the Consulate and the Pension, Benefit and Healthcare team will be present at the local Iceland Supermarket in Torrevieja to meet Brits who may be unaware of the event and could really benefit from attending.
The Consular team will be at Iceland Supermarket on 8th September from for a couple of hours. A limited number of spaces for the evening event will be reserved for people who hear about it at the supermarket and decide to sign up.
