THE Playmusic Fest which was planned this Saturday in Nijar has been cancelled due to financial problems. This is the second consecutive year that the festival has been cancelled, this year having already announced who would be performing and with tickets sold.
However, El Marrajo Youth Association announced via Facebook that they would “regrettably have to postpone the festival” which would have been held in Campohermoso with the presence of some of Spain’s most popular pop and Indie artists, including Lori Meyers and Russian Red.
The association depends partially on the collaboration of public institutions and private sponsors. Due to the current economic climate, the input from the latter has fallen considerably. However, they have promised to make every effort so that the festival can be held within the coming weeks and that the wait will have been worth it.
The also thanked artists, institutions, sponsors and the audience for their understanding, and have reported that they will soon issue instruction on how to get money back on pre-purchased tickets.
