Woman steals jewellery at birthday party in Cartaya, Huelva

GUARDIA CIVIL arrested a 34-year-old woman in Cartaya, Huelva, for stealing jewellery worth €880 while at a birthday party. She was arrested in July for stealing jewellery worth €6,000 from houses where she worked as a cleaner.

However, the crime for which she has now been arrested occurred in December last year when she was invited to a house for a birthday party and stole several items.

Before the owner had even noticed them gone, she had sold them. The owner has not been able to recover them because after a certain amount of time, the jewellery is smelted for gold. 

She is also charged with 10 other small thefts against friends or employees.
