Brothel regulars complain about Torrox webcam

A GROUP of regular customers at a brothel in Torrox Costa has launched an internet campaign to complain that they are being controlled by webcam.

The brothel is located opposite the taxi rank and bus stop in Torrox Costa on the N-340.

The local Tourism Board placed the webcam in the area to show residents and potential visitors the weather, the coast and also if there are any tailbacks (www.turismotorrox.es).

The group has complained to the Local Police of “constant control” of their vehicles. “We don’t mind the camera pointing wherever the Tourism Board considers best, as we understand it could be useful to see the traffic situation, but what we don’t want is for people to be able to see us parking out cars outside the brothel” the group has said.

They intend to report the situation as many times as is necessary in order to maintain their privacy. The Town Hall’s computer department responded that the cars’ registration plates can’t be seen and therefore the complaint makes “no sense.”

Meanwhile, the Tourism Board has said the complaint will be passed on to the Tourism Department, but the Town Hall cannot be accused of using the webcam in an incorrect way.
