A MAN was arrested at a bar in Palma after he allegedly threatened the waiter with a gun.
The 58-year-old arrived at the bar in Plaza Gomila with a friend and ordered two beers. When it was time to pay he explained he had no money, he then pulled the gun on the waiter claiming he was a Guardia Civil Officer, according to a witness.
Other customers scattered as they realised what was happening. Officer managed to disarm him. In addition to the gun he had a magazine and ammunition.
At the barracks he stripped off all his clothes in ‘protest’ to his ‘unfair arrest’, and as such could not be attended to by the lawyer assigned to his case. The detainee has 15 criminal records, including posing as a law enforcement officer.
