The princess’s new shoes

THE Princess of Asturias, Letizia Ortiz, has once again become the centre of attention this week because of her choice of clothes.

Just last week, she was accused of not wearing suitable garments to military events. She recently attended an event in Pontevedra in which her husband, Prince Felipe, was wearing full dress uniform, having chosen a simple outfit of white trousers, pink t-shirt and brown jacket, which didn’t go down well in military circles.

However this week, she attended the 20th anniversary of the Instituto Cervantes wearing some ‘Pretty Ballerinas’ with Swarovksy cristal which cost €500. This is the most expensive shoe in the collection created by Jaime Mascaro.

Just a month earlier, she was criticized for wearing a €39.95 Zara dress to attend a meeting with the heads of the Fundacion Principe de Girona with the Prince.
