FIREMEN rescued a 39-year-old pregnant woman who got trapped on the cliffs of Maro beach in Nerja. The woman had apparently fallen from an inflatable boat after it collided with the rocks due to large waves, according to the emergency services.
Both she and her partner, aged 46, were trapped, although he was able to swim out and alert the emergency services.
The lifeguards and Guardia Civil attempted to rescue the woman from the sea, but finally two teams of firemen accessed the area using rescue ropes down the 60 metre cliff walls. The woman was not injured and was in perfect health.
