Flames from the wildfire light up the night sky.
SOME 75 firemen took part in the extinction of a wildfire which broke out in Los Llanos del Peral area of Zurgena on Sunday night. The area affected by the fire, mostly covered by bushes, is not yet known.
Fire fighters from Albox and Turre helped in the effort to bring the blaze under control. Reports suggest flames reached within 500 metres of properties owned by several British residents.
Another fire destroyed approximately 10 hectares of land in Tabernas. Wildfires were also extinguished in Berja and Adra.
