Daylight break-ins at Finestrat

DILIGENT neighbours and efficient police response, combined to foil daylight break-ins in the village of Finestrat.

Guardia Civil Officers were immediately on the scene after receiving calls from residents who had noticed a group of men acting suspiciously; moving around a block of flats whilst carrying tools.

Two patrols arrived, and discovered evidence off at least two break ins, with smashed locks on doors. Roads around the village were cordoned off in time to halt a car with four men inside. The search of the vehicle revealed various tools including a large hammer and pick locks, jewellery and cash exceeding €3,000, as well as other sundry items, which all proved to be stolen from the two burgled properties.

The four men taken into custody include a German and Bulgarian aged 32 and 46 respectively.
