THE Balearic Islands are leading the fall in the number of unemployed people. In June there were 4,278 fewer jobless, representing a decrease of 5.6 per cent on the previous month.
Nationally there was a decrease of minus 1.12 per cent. So far this year unemployment has fallen by 19,794 people in the Balearics. The total number of people out of work on the islands is now 71,494. This is an indicator that the Balearic economy is recovering, according to unions, businesses and the Government.
