AROUND 150 bikers from all over Spain congregated in Santa Pola over the weekend for an event organized by the Flamencos Motorcycle Club.
“This is pretty much the same number of people we had for last year’s event,” said Antonio Pages, president of the group. Bikers came from various provinces including Navarre, Toledo, Barcelona, Castellon, Valencia and Alicante to ride the routes set in Santa Pola and Gran Alacant.
A total of 18 trophies were awarded to participants. Zona Roja Club from Valencia won the prize for the most participants and Javier Cuevas Alcaniz from Navarre was awarded the prize for the oldest biker; he was born in 1947. During their time in this neck of the woods, participants took the time to visit the aquarium, the salt museum and exhibition halls.
