Cuevas del Almanzora demands more schools

CUEVAS DEL ALMANZORA Town Hall continues to fight the Junta de Andalucia Education Department over the need for more schools. While the Junta says there is no urban land available, the town hall says there are lands which could be classified ‘of public interest’, which would make them ideal for the project.

Cuevas del Almanzora complains that the Junta is denying local children a quality education, and that no work has been done in the town to improve facilities, except for the expansion of the Palomares School. The town hall claims that they have been forced to undertake the upkeep of the schools, some of which are more than 50 years old and have not been refurbished since they were first built.
