Man facing 14 years jail for alleged rape of sister-in-law

A MAN, 39, is on trial in Malaga accused of repeatedly raping his 14-year-old sister-in-law. He is charged with sexual assault and could face up to 14 years in prison, as well as having to pay €60,000 compensation to the victim.

The prosecutor claims that the events took place between 2007 and 2009 when the minor spent weekends at her sister’s home in Cartama.

When everyone was asleep, he allegedly got in her bed, and in other cases approached her when they were alone, touching her inappropriately and raping her on at least six occasions, despite her pushing and scratching him in an attempt to prevent the attack.

He allegedly told her that if she told anyone he would say she wanted it and no-one would believe her.
