Banus disco faces lawsuit over name

THE Dreamers nightclub in Puerto Banus is accused of illegally using the trademark of internationally famous London club China White. The Puerto Banus club opened last Friday after refurbishment under the name ‘China White by Dreamers’, but China White of London has requested that it be prevented from using the name and have threatened to sue the company and request compensation for damages if this continues to be ignored.

China White, represented by international law firm Garrigues, claim to have sent a registered letter to Dreamers, requesting them to cease using their trademark, before the inauguration date, which they say was ignored.

Lawyer Miguel Mendez said “Dreamers is well aware that what they have done is wrong”.

Representatives from the Puerto Banus club were not available for comment.
