THE Benidorm disco bouncer accused of causing the death of a customer will be released from custody on the condition he pays €50,000 bail, sources said. The proposal for him to be freed on bail was made by his defence lawyer, a week after he was taken into custody.
Two weeks ago the bouncer ejected the victim from the Hipodromo disco in Benidorm. According to the accused, he was removed from the premises because he was ‘robbing’ people and had several altercations earlier that night with nightclub staff.
He claims once the man was outside the club, he tried to assault the bouncer, which is when he pushed the victim to the ground, and the victim hit his head. He died a day later.
