11 million people visit IKEA in Malaga

SINCE opening in 2007, the IKEA store in Malaga has seen more than 11 million visitors pass through its doors. Malaga province provides 80 percent of those visitors with the rest being made up mainly from Granada, Cordoba and Jaen. The store employs 489 staff made up of thirteen different nationalities.

This week marks the 15 anniversary of Ikea’s arrival to Spain.

Statistic: 1.2 million hotdogs and over 4 million meatballs have been consumed since the Malaga store opened.
