Velez Malaga to adapt local plans to Andalucian legislation

VELEZ-MALAGA town hall will revise the local General Plan for Urban Development (PGOU) to adapt non-urban land to Andalucian legislation. The local urban planning department has approved the revision of the plan which was made 15 years ago to adapt it to the Andalucian Urban Planning Law (LOUA) and the Axarquia Territorial Organization Plan.

It will be carried out by architect Antonio Garvin Salazar who has 20 months to present the document, in which local farming associations will be asked to take part.

This will cost some €46,000, but intends to make it clear what is allowed on protected land in the town and clearly mark protected areas.
