ELEVEN stowaways, one of them just 12 years old, were arrested when they descended from a ship at Malaga Port. The arrived on a Moroccan cargo ship called Fes which had been subcontracted by a Spanish company and were detected in the false bottom of a lorry trailer when the containers were being unloaded onto the docks. All were in good health.
The National Police were alerted and although they claimed to be Algerians and minors, the police suspect that they are Moroccans and that only three of them are under 18 years old.
Oseometric tests to determine their ages were carried out at the police station, where two more stowaways who had hidden on the ferry from Melilla and were discovered just hours earlier were being held.
