PALMA’S airport has been awarded the supply and installation a new Air Control Quality System (SCCA) as a direct result of Aena’s Environmental Policy at a cost of €255,000; which should be completed within 17 weeks. With this system it will be possible to measure and control pollutants in the air. It can measure the levels of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO), among others.
