BENALMADENA Council says it has been ‘overwhelmed’ by the response they have received 46 civil servant vacancies available in various departments. The deadline to register closed on Monday with 4,300 people having applied for the various jobs. The town hall has made €90,000 as a result of the €21 fee each applicant must pay to take the qualifying examination.
The most popular job was the administrative assistant position with around 2,200 applications for the 10 available posts.
