It has been six months since Mathew Edwards and Carol Van Mosel took residence at Restaurant La Montaña in Campico, and is going from strength to strength.
The converted cortijo situated four kilometres from Bédar on the Lubrin Road is nestled in the small farming village of Campico where guests are welcome to pass the time with local Spaniards at the well stocked bar, or enjoy the delicious a la carte menu in one of the two cosy dining rooms.
The frequently changing menu consists of mouth-watering dishes including a stack of griddled aubergine with local goats cheese, spinach and beetroot, to the shredded leg of lamb served on mash potato, with a red wine jus and Caramelized carrots, finishing off with indulgent home made desserts.
