Protesters demand action to protect cyber-stalking victim

PROFFESORS and students at Alicante Unversity are demanding the institution take action to stop cyber-stalking a teacher has endured for two years. During this time the victim has been subjected to abusive emails, of a sexual nature, against herself and her underage daughters, according to union UGT.

The union announced a protest schedule for Tuesday, to demand the university filter out these messages.

The emails are said to be sent from outside the campus, and are not only targeted at her but at other teachers who know her.

Classes in her faculty were suspended for an hour to enable teachers and students to attend the protest scheduled to coincide with International Women’s Day.
