THE free bus service from Estepona to the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella will begin running next week, according to local mayor, David Valadez. The new vehicle will have 19 seats and is adapted for disabled passengers. The mayor explained that the vehicle formerly providing the service was constantly breaking down, therefore, a request was made to Malaga Provincial Government to buy a new one.
There will be four buses per day, from the Local Police Station, through the town and to the hospital, between 7.20am and 7.30pm.
To get a place on the bus, passengers must prove hey are registered residents of the town, give proof of their appointment at the hospital and provide ID. If they are relative of a patient, they must provide proof that the person has been admitted to the hospital and will be allowed to use the bus only if there are free places.
