THE ‘Jurapark’ dinosaur park planned in Mijas was never agreed by brand, the Mijas Partido Popular (PP) revealed. In a letter to the PP, which EWN has seen a copy of, the lawyers of Jurapark International SL which has the sole rights to manage these parks, it states no contract or verbal agreement ever existed for a Jurapark to be created in Mijas.
Lawyers claim they informed both the society and Mijas mayor Antonio Sanchez of this, and requested that they cease to use the name and make a public statement to deny the park would be created in the town, something which never occurred.
Earlier this year, Mijas Town Hall said the project had not gone ahead due to lack of funds, because it needed a private investment of at least €12m.
