Car chase prompts hit and run in Alicante

A CAR hit a cyclist while fleeing police last week in the San Blas area of Alicante. Hours later a woman arrived at the police station to ‘falsely’ report the theft of the vehicle. She was recognized as the passenger in the vehicle involved in the hit and run, so was arrested.

Police located her partner who was found with the car they had been chasing and which had allegedly hit the cyclist.

He was also found in possession of 20 kilograms of hashish.
