Three members of the Calabrian Mafia were arrested in Almeria and the Costa del Sol by National Police. The arrests were in connection with a robbery at a branch of Cajasol savings bank in Cadiz last November and another at Torremolinos Post Office on January 17.
The three Italians arrested have criminal records for illegal association, extortion and drug trafficking among other charges. They are thought to have been protected by other members of the ‘Ndrangheta’ in Spain.
