NERJA Mayor Jose Alberto Armijo opened the Nerja-Frigiliana Caves stand at the FITUR 2011 Tourism Fair in Madrid last week. Plans to hold the second International Flamenco Course at the Nerja Cultural Centre from July 11 to 16, was announced by the tourism councillor.
The course would include singing, dancing and guitar playing taught by renowned and experienced teachers.
Other promotional material included a comprehensive guide to each town’s historical topics, traditions, sports, culture, and crafts, a food guide, leisure guide, photo guide and a poster with several photos of the area along with materials provided by several local businesses.
Entertainment was provided including traditional dance groups and belly dancer Victoria Ivanova from Frigiliana.
