CHILDREN in Almeria Province are able to benefit from free dental care thanks to a programme which the Junta de Andalucia Health Department has been offering since 2002. Now, with just presenting their health card, all children born between 1996 and 2005 can benefit from the service without the need of a special voucher which was required until January this year.
Parents can choose the dentist where they would like their children to be treated from a list of 128, 110 private and 18 public.
They are entitled to a check-up and polish each year, as well as advice on dental car, basic and emergency treatment, and need only to show their health card to the chosen dentist.
