THE ASSOCIATION Europeos for España held its annual general meeting at the Club del Mar in Palma last week. The meeting elected the new committee members for the coming year including the new President, Richard Porter.
Honorary President Kate Mentink summarised the activities of the association over the past 12 months which include lobbying for the return of the Residencia Card, protesting at the rise in electricity prices and campaigning for the right for non-Spanish residents to vote in regional and national elections.
She also reported on the successful debates that have taken place on subjects such as tourism, the nautical industry and Palma airport.
Europeos por España is a non-profit organisation that represents all foreign residents living in the Balearics and Spain.
Throughout 2011 it will continue to campaign for change and work to improve the living conditions of all foreigners in Spain.
