FBI SPecial Agents knocking on doors in Brooklyn dawn raids

NEW YORK – FBI agents and partner law enforcement agencies starting arresting nearly 130 members of New York City’s Mafia members in what is being heralded as the largest coordinated takedown of organised crime in the FBI’s history. Other East coast cities also saw arrests on Januray 20.

The Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Luchese crime organisations, better known as the famous five families of New York’s mafia were rounded up to face a range of charges including murder, drug trafficking,loan sharking, racketeering and arson amongst others.
