Restaurante Aroma is a chic eatery situated in the area known as Fish Alley which is a criss-cross of lanes just off the Paseo Maritimo, very close to Fuengirola harbour, and has become the heart of the town’s dining district. Aroma is dedicated to high-quality dining and the most innovative of culinary trends and is run by the ever-elegant John Kelly.
The restaurant itself is elegant but gives a warm and cosy ambiance with seating for 52 people.
You can enjoy deep purple walls with large Spanish-themed paintings and amphora as decoration, beautifully laid tables with purple cloths, gleaming cutlery and glasses and black leather dining chairs. All in all, the perfect place for a perfect meal.
And the food! At least 20 starter dishes to choose from, a simple salad or warm goat’s cheese topped with honey and a ginger jelly, perhaps beautifully prepared scallops served with a thermidor sauce, or even lobster “café de Paris”, half a lobster lightly steamed, with a caper and brandy sauce.
And then on to the main course. Once again so much to choose from, lamb, pork, chicken, pastas, perhaps a fillet of sole, steamed and served with dill and tarragon sauce. If meat is more to your taste then the fillet steak Rossini served with goose liver or the 700 gram plus Ribeye steak are to be recommended. But whatever your choice the meals are freshly prepared and beautifully presented.
Aroma also offers an excellent value menu of the day which is priced at just €15.
There is a comprehensive wine list with a Marques de Caceres red as a house wine priced at just €14.
Parking is easy with the main car park of the Fuengirola harbour just a few 10 metres away.
