The most recognisable representative was the house of Billecart-Salmon of the Champagne region, who served a delicious dry pink champagne, which had people queuing up for more.

Waiters served cured ham and mature Manchego cheese whilst guests sampled wine in the evening sunlight. The event was not only an opportunity for wine connoisseurs to appreciate wine from outside the island but it also served as a means for those in the restaurant sector to try wines first hand and establish contacts with dealers themselves.
As the evening drew to a close guests were invited to a luxurious cocktail prepared by well-known barman Salvador Esquinas. This consisted of traditional Mallorquin Hierbas Dulces, Pineapple juice and fresh mint with a drizzling of Mallorquin Licor Palo cut with fruits of the forest syrup.
The evening was a great success with over four hundred people attending and a new network of connections being formed between the up-and-coming vineyards of Mallorca and those from the more established regions
