THE mayor of Mojacar, Rosa Maria Cano recently inaugurated the town’s new plaza Arbollon-Fronton. The project has required five years of construction work to erect the plaza and the 38-space car park below.
According to town hall’s architect, Rodrigo Simon, the modifications took longer due to the location of the plaza, which is in a myriad of small and winding making it impossible for larger trucks to get through to the site. The project had the added problem of the site being very close to the church, which many thought could have been affected by the drilling. The underground parking lot is also finished, although is still waiting for the remaining administrative proceedings to conclude for it to be opened for public use.
