WARNING: Road closed due to rock falls.
A LANDSLIDE led to heavy rocks falling on to Carmenes del Mar urbanisation roads in La Herradura. Almuñecar Council of Maintenance has started to remove the largest ones, but damage to nearby homes is feared in any further landslides.
“We are answering neighbours’ demands, preventing any future damages that may affect this residential area," said Councillor Jose Manuel Fernandez. “We understand any occasional rainfall could speed up the landslide and cause damage to nearby households.”
