New health centre in Pilar
• 08 May 2008 •
AN agreement was signed last week between representatives of Pilar de la Horadada town hall, ‘Health Area 22’ and the Valencian government, for a new health centre to be built in the town.
Pilar’s mayor, Ignacio Ramos, along with the town’s councillor for health, Manuel Cervera Taulet, ceded a plot of land measuring 2,300 square metres off Calle Blasco Ibanez, for the building to commence. The new health centre will be part of the ‘Health Area 22’, built by the Valencian government and will enhance the local medical system based at Torrevieja Hospital.
The managing director of the local health authority, Luis Barcia, was present and welcomed the latest addition to local health and medical welfare in the Vega Baja region. Cevera said, “The new health centre will offer local residents the best of care for emergencies and minor illnesses, decentralise medical care and ease the pressure on the Torrevieja Hospital.” | Return to Top
