planet_51 CREATED by a Spanish company, Ilion Animation Studios, this animation film is not up to the standards of what we have become accustomed to over the past years from other studios, but it does allow you, or especially your kids, to spend an enjoyable 90 minutes at the cinema, and although the jokes are not wonderful, it will raise a few laughs. American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker, lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it.

500_days Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't. This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be. It's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will. When Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel), who doesn’t believe in true love, dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. The film starts at the end of the relationship, with a clearly crushed Tom attempting to win back the love of his life.

District_9 NEILL Blomkamp, a South African-born 30-year-old with absolutely no previous film-making experience, is a breath of fresh air. Blomkamp belongs to a new school of filmmakers who are visual effects artists and directors at the same time, and this man certainly shows a bit of a genius at both.

The-Taking-of-Pelham-1-2-3 Director Tony Scott delivers another unnecessary remake. There have been some remarkable remakes in film history, such as The Magnificent Seven, Casino Royal or King Kong, but few have felt more pointless than The Taking of Pelham 123. The original novel was adapted for the big screen back in 1974, resulting in a great and serious thriller.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, is the third film of the series. The film works just fine on kids and weary parents glad to take a seat for 94 minutes, it is not a bad film indeed, and it does have the novelty of 3D if you see it in a 3D-equipped theatre.

TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen by Michael Bay resembles something like a film, at least it can be run through a projector and sell millions of tickets. It is probably one of the worst sequels ever made.
