Blevins Franks holds its Summer Garden Party

THE Blevins Franks Javea office recently held its End of Summer Garden Party, an event organised exclusively for clients in the beautiful grounds of Casa Santonja on September 18.

Over 250 guests attended the event. They arrived from 4pm and following a welcome cava were able to enjoy a selection of canapés and drinks throughout the evening whilst listening to live music played by the JazzTime Quartet.

The perfect weather enabled everyone to enjoy the gardens to the full, taking in the atmosphere on the lawns and the upper terrace. As the sun set the evening started to close, but not before everyone was able to enjoy the house and grounds as these were transformed into a floodlit setting.

The event was hosted by the local Partners, Robert Croizat, Brett Hanson and Gary Cardwell, and staff of the Javea office, as well as Blevins Franks’ Sales Director, Wayne Sheridan, who flew over from London for the occasion.

The Javea office is about to reach its 20 year anniversary and altogether now has 600 clients, many of whom are the result of referrals from existing clients.

Senior Partner, Robert Croizat, joined Blevins Franks in 1994, after several years working with two of the largest financial institutions in the UK. He moved to the Costa Blanca in 1995, where he exercises his long-standing skills and experience in the areas of taxation and investment.

Brett Hanson obtained an LL.B (Hons) in law before electing for a career in wealth management. He was the senior manager of Blevins Franks’ Client Services Department before becoming a Partner in Javea in 2002.

Looking to the future, the office has expanded this year, with Gary Cardwell moving from Alfaz del Pi to join the team and the appointment of two Private Client Managers.

Gary Cardwell has been in the financial sector since 1977 and has long-standing experience over a large range of wealth management services. He joined Blevins Franks in 2007.

The role of Private Client Managers James Johnson and Nicole Sandler is to provide ongoing wealth management advice, support and portfolio reviews to all clients.

All five are highly qualified, having obtained the Diploma for Financial Advisers or the Diploma for Regulated Financial Planning.

They are supported in the Javea office by Teresa Wasling and Vanessa Shepherd, who work closely with a dedicated team at the firm’s international administration centre in Malta, which has 100 members of staff.

Behind the local Javea office lies a substantial, well established company, with highly skilled teams of people committed to meeting their clients’ needs.

This includes an investment team and UK qualified chartered tax advisers who closely monitor legislative changes in Spain and the UK that may affect British expatriates. There are 20 offices over six countries, with a head office in St. James’s Square, London.

The overriding aim of the Javea office is to give clients the peace of mind of knowing that their financial affairs are in order.

They put their clients at the heart of everything they do, and develop good, long-term personal relationships with each client to ensure they receive a high quality, bespoke service based on a full understanding of their family’s circumstances and objectives.

They are committed to providing the most tax efficient solutions backed by an investment strategy that accurately reflects the client’s risk profile.

Blevins Franks has decades of experience advising British expatriates and in-depth knowledge of both Spanish and UK taxation and the interaction between them.

It has saved its clients a substantial amount of tax over the years.

The Javea office holds seminars to update expatriates on the key tax and wealth management issues that affect them.

The next seminars are on October 20 at the Marriott Hotel in Javea/Denia and October 21 at the Barceló Asia Gardens in Benidorm.

They focus on succession tax planning, the UK pension reforms and personalised investment strategies, and introduce a new exclusive investment service for clients of Blevins Franks.
