Edificio_webWITHIN the next few months, Mojacar could become home to the first approved bioclimatic building in Spain. Councillor for Tourism, Angel Medina, accompanied by the managers of the company in charge of the project, Ecoholistica, presented it before the Innovation Delegate, Sonia Rodriguez, who encouraged them to go ahead with plans to obtain financing.

The project is part of the Sustainable Development Plan for the towns of the Levante Almeriense area and aims to build a municipal building within the town which would use solar energy and natural resources to heat and light it.

It would house a multiple-use building with a youth hostel with 10 studios, with multi-purpose hall on the ground floor, a canteen and reception.

Mojacar Town Hall has been preparing the project for some time, hoping to become the first town in Spain to carry out something of the kind, intelligent, bioclimatic and environmentally friendly.

The plan is to hold several different types of events in the building, which will be in an ideal location, as well as being functional and having a modern design.
