ALMERIA - NATIONAL POLICE in Almeria arrested two well-known drug dealers after chasing them by car and on foot. The first was seen by police at the fair in El Alquian area, where he was approaching youths. When the 47-year-old noticed the police he attempted to escape.
He was intercepted and found in possession of 111 wraps of a mixture of cocaine and heroin ready for sale, as well as 150 euros in cash. He has been arrested 36 times before, mainly for robbery and hold-ups.
The other man, aged 56, had been under surveillance for several months, as one of Almeria’s main heroin distributor’s. He has prior arrests for drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession. He left his home by car and after driving around several streets in El Puche area of the city, he detected the police and fled the area, driving at several officers during the escape.
He was finally intercepted and found to be carrying 100 grammes of cocaine and 1,400 euros. His home was searched and officers found two marihuana plants and documents of interest to the police.
