Fake 100 euro note gang arrested in Orihuela

THREE French nationals were arrested in Orihuela trying to use counterfeit 100 euro bank notes at a shopping centre. The arrests occurred after a tip off from retailer became suspicious of the group who tried to purchase inexpensive items and pay for them with the fake notes. Police suspect that the gang may have used the counterfeit notes in other shops prior to being arrested, as with ten fake notes found on them, police also found legal tender cash.
