Refurbished castle hoping to attract more tourists

SIERRO - THE castle in Sierro, one of the province’s most emblematic Nasrid monuments, has been totally refurbished, and it is hoped that it will bring more tourists to the area.

SIERRO - THE castle in Sierro, one of the province’s most emblematic Nasrid monuments, has been totally refurbished, and it is hoped that it will bring more tourists to the area.

The castle will be open to all visitors and has a surface of 400 metres. It will be lit up both inside and outside, as will the old water deposit which is almost three metres deep. An archaeologist and a restorer, with a team of 45 people have worked to refurbish the castle with a budget of 200,000 euros from the Junta de Andalucia.
