It’s all going on in the run up to Christmas
BELIEVE it or not, it less than one month to go to Christmas and all those Christmas Fairs and Charity Events are all about to happen.
First of all, this coming Sunday, December 6, it is the famous Christmas Fair at Puerto Portals, where there will be a special stand in aid of Dr Michael Stoma’s NGO Meditarranea Charity, helping those in need in Mallorca.
Anyone who would like to donate a raffle or tom bola prize, or a bottle of wine, chocolate or sweets would be very much appreciated. All you have to do is drop off what you have at Dr Stoma’s surgery in Portals Nous, telephone number 971 676 334 or at the offices of Mallorca Solutions in Magalluf, telephone number 971 131 644.
On Saturday December 12, we have to events taking place, but for sure you will be able to make it to the two of them as they are both far too good to miss.
King Richard 111 College organises a Christmas Fair every year, but this time it is going to be held at the Magalluf Cricket Ground and will be going on practically all day. As you all know, this is a charity event and all proceeds will be divided up between the Allen Graham Charity for Kidz, NGO Meditarraneo and Father Eugenio’s Orphanage in Peru, so get yourself along there and have a good time, knowing that whatever you spend is all going to a very good cause.
Just down the road from Magalluf in Palma Nova, at 2pm in the North and South Family Bar, there will be a Charity Christmas Fun Day in aid of Charley’s fund. There will be all the usual face painting, bouncy castle, children’s entertainment and live singers. Later on there will be a BBQ and a Curry Evening and Father Christmas could possibly make an appearance, so have your Santa letters ready!
For those people who do not know, Charley is a very special little boy, who this time last year, was given no hope of survival due to being born over three months premature.
He is deaf and blind, but his parents have managed to buy him a hearing aid, but would dearly love him to be fitted with hearing implants, which cost something in the region of 10,000 euros.
Debbie, Charley’s mother would also like to take him to see the world’s best eye specialist in Barcelona, but all this costs money, so anything you can do to help this brave little boy, who n ever complains and who has a smile on his face most days, would be so much appreciated.
Last but not least, in the New Year, on Saturday, January 16, Jenny May is once again organising a Fun Quiz Night at Roosters in Magalluf, with the usual marvellous fish and chip supper. Once again, all proceeds will go to charity, Allen Graham Charity 4 Kidz and NGO Mediterraneo.
So if you think you are an egghead or you know more than anyone else, why not give it a go – a fun night is guaranteed!
For more information you can call Jenny May on 620 784 802 or Linda Spratt on 971 676 999, or 610 964 986
