THE TOWN Hall of Malaga gave the Junta a plot of 3,000 square metres to use for an emergency health centre which, when completed will serve 25,000 people. The emergency department will be in the same building as the new health centre being built in Calle Julio Caro Baroja in the Las Espeñuelas area

THE TOWN Hall of Malaga gave the Junta a plot of 3,000 square metres to use for an emergency health centre which, when completed will serve 25,000 people. The emergency department will be in the same building as the new health centre being built in Calle Julio Caro Baroja in the Las Espeñuelas area of Churriana. The health centre will comprise of 12 consultation rooms, a paediatrics room and a multipurpose room. There will also be rooms for extractions, vaccinations and health education. The cost of this project will be around two million euros. The new emergency department should be open sometime during the first six months of 2008. The citizens of Churriana have been petitioning for years for an emergency department.
